According to Ayurveda every season brings with it predictable patterns which can affect our health & wellbeing.
Autumn is known as VATA season.
Vata dosha is made up of the Air & Ether elements & is responsible for the functioning of our mind & nervous system.
Vata season is characterised by the qualities (gunas) of dry, light, cool, rough, subtle, mobile, changeable.
Imbalanced VATA energy can manifest into feelings of stress, anxiety, overwhelm, or symptoms such as digestive issues, lack of quality sleep, irregular periods, joint pain, dry skin, hair or nails.
It's important to balance these qualities by bringing in the opposite so we can transition through the season with more ease.
Ayurveda considers a seasonal routine & lifestyle choices an important part of protecting your wellbeing and offsetting the potential for seasonal imbalances to occur.
